The Grammy-winning artist, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu and hails from Nigeria, has revealed that he recently turned down a $5 million offer to perform in Dubai.
Burna Boy cited the reason for declining the offer as the strict prohibition on smoking marijuana in the UAE, particularly in Dubai, which would restrict his personal preferences
It’s important to note that smoking is prohibited by Emirati law in Dubai’s parks, beaches, and various other public recreational areas.
During a video that circulated on the social media platform X, Burna Boy made this revelation while rehearsing with his band, Outsiders, in a freestyle performance.
It’s worth recalling that during this freestyle, he also threw shade at Brymo. While delivering a live rendition of what many believe is a freestyle or a new song, he encouraged others to hustle in order to avoid falling off like Brymo.
